On Tuesday 10th April morning started our trip to Rori´s “groom” Ghyro. Unfortunately without progesterone test, because there was a bank holiday in Czech republic, and nobody worked in the hospital blood center. But it was Rori´s 11th day so we and our vet expected that it should be the right time.
Unfortunately Rori has other opinion, when we came to Vogelwaarde. Even though Rori and Ghyro played together very and they very liked each other, Rori didn´t want the “mating”.
Maybe it was to earlier. “We will see next morning”.
Next morning Carola (owner of Ghyro) booked for us the date by her vet to do the progesterone test, but we stayed in a huge traffic jam in the city centre of Antwerps, where we were staying for 2 nights. So we missed the vet. But today Rori and Ghyro even didn´t want to play. So Carola found other veterinary clinic in other city, so we tried to do the progesterone test there and waited for the result.
In the afternoon, when we were in Hulst for some sightseeing, Carola wrote me an sms with the result, which was “2” (too low). Usually the mating´s happened when the number is 10+. So we had two options – go home or stay and wait. We decided to wait.
I booked for us new accommodation in a small city Westdorpe in a country side, because the hotel in Antwerps in the centre of terminal, wasn´t suitable for us.
On Thursday morning we packed our things and left the Antwerp´s hotel. Mentally we started to take our trip only like a holiday :) So we visited ZOO in Antwerps, and also the Antwerp´s City Centre and transferred to the Westdorpe.
I have to say, that we really liked this small city, the people there are very kind and the atmosphere here is great J The great thing (especially for my boyfriend Milan, which is breeder) was the small animal park in the city centre. There were two very fat pigs, a lot of bunnies, hens, ducks, goose, goats with little goat kids, sheep with lamps and lama as well. In the evening we made a little trip along to the terminal channel and we really enjoyed the time here.
On Saturday morning we visited Ghyro once more, before we went home and we were successful again :)
Now we are one step closer to our dream puppies, so please fingers crossed !
